Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (OCIA)

Are you or someone you know interested in learning what Catholics believe? The Order of Christian Initiation for Adults is a program for those who are considering joining the Catholic Church. Its group discussion setting provides an opportunity to study the teachings of the Church, and to grow in faith. The group meets on Sunday mornings at 9:00 am. Formely referred to as "RCIA". The name change is also intended to better reflect that an “order” is a collection of all the “rites” involved in the process. The revision will also introduce four new categories: catechumens (unbaptized adults), unbaptized infants, baptized non-Catholic Christians, and baptized Catholics in need of confirmation.
