School Nurse
St. Francis Xavier Catholic School in Buffalo MN is seeking a school nurse. The school nurse provides direct nursing services, assists in planning school health programs, serves as a resource person for health-related concerns and programs, and helps to maintain the well-being of all students and staff. The nurse would be present during school hours and for occasional evening activities.
Qualifications:
- School Nurse Licensure is preferred.
- Working knowledge of the principals, practices, and ethical standards of School Nursing and relevant state and federal laws, rules, and regulations required.
- Ability to deal effectively and appropriately with students, parents, and other educational professionals regarding student health concerns and problems is required.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills will be necessary for this position.
- Experience working with children is also preferred.
- Ability to apply Catholic faith to work through programming and interactions. Being a practicing Catholic is preferred, but not required.
Technical Education Teacher
Grades 5-8
St. Francis Xavier School, Buffalo MN seeks a part-time Technical Education teacher to provide classroom instruction on woodworking and similar skills to students in 5th -8th grades. This person will join an energetic, faith-filled team that works to provide a high-quality, faith-based education for the whole child.
This person would be responsible for the instruction of students in all assigned subjects in accordance with the school and parish mission and philosophy, curriculum, and standards so as to advance the mission of the school and parish. This teaching position takes place in the second semester of the 2022-2023 school year, beginning at the end of January and running through the first part of June.
The ideal candidate should possess a MN teaching license or applicable licensure or be trained in this field, be able to work with a variety of age groups, have strong communication skills, and be able to work as a member of a team. It is preferred that the candidate is also a practicing Catholic.
Substitute Teacher
General: Preschool – 8th Grade
St. Francis Xavier School is seeking candidates to serve as substitute teachers. Acceptable candidates would be added to our call list and scheduled as needed throughout the school year. The ideal candidate would have experience teaching, strong communication and collaboration skills, and able to teach in a Catholic environment. A teaching license is not required, but a four year degree in any area is preferred. Substitute training is available.
